Seasonal notes
What changes through the year here.
Fall: book the heating check before the first frost
September and early October are the easy weeks. After the first cold night, every furnace that has been sitting all summer gets switched on at once.
Winter: no-heat calls and frozen condensate lines
A heat pump that shows ice for a short while is normal; it defrosts itself. A unit that stays iced over, or a furnace that will not light, is a call.
Summer: smoke weeks and heat waves
Check filters before fire season, and book cooling installs in spring rather than during the first heat wave.
Cold house, old furnace, or just curious about a heat pump?
One visit, written options, no pressure. If it is an emergency, call and a person or the on-call technician picks up.
